    What is a Blog?

So, we know what a blog is, right?   A Blog, or weblog, is really a website; but where entries are added often and displayed in reverse order. In simple terms, a blog is where you write your thoughts on an ongoing basis, and put your new thoughts on top so visitors can read your most current entry, first.   Blog can also mean to add content to a blog.

Blogs can provide news or opinions on a particular subject, using text, images, and links to other web pages or related media.  What really makes it interesting is the ability that readers have to leave comments and interact.  That's where blogs really stand out!  They have made it possible for millions of people to connect and comment.  As of December 2007, blog search engines were tracking more than 112 million blogs.  The question is: "Should you be one of them?".

Here's my take on the subject.   A blog gives you a personal, verbal creative outlet on the web.   It is a place to share what you find interesting; no matter whether it's business or pleasure.  Your blog can influence thousands, worldwide!  If only I had done this my first year in network marketing.  Not only can this be gratifying to you personally, as you take pride in your posts, but think what this can do for your business.  Who would you like to influence?

The importance of blogs and other social media are so great that we can no longer exclude them from our Social Marketing Training  if we are planning on attracting prospects to our internet opportunity or home based business.  Or, maybe you would rather pay for your leads?

If you want to start a home based business on the internet, take note of all the ways that blogging can help you.  I'll talk more about how to use your blog to attract prospects for your network marketing business while creating long term residual income.   Then, you can see how having a blog can be a "top opportunity", and one that you will enjoy!
