<p>Social bookmarking is a marketing method of bookmarking, or saving interesting websites, articles, videos, anything that you want to take note of.&nbsp; And, you save them to a public Internet bookmarking site.<br /><br />By saving your bookmarks to a public Internet bookmarking site, and tagging them with keywords, and maybe a description, you are organizing them so that not only you can find them, but that others can find them.</p>
<h3><strong>How does Social Bookmarking help you?</strong></h3>
<p>When you organize your bookmarks in such a way that others can find them (tagging with keywords and descriptions), you are providing links that they can click on and that brings traffic to those sites.&nbsp; Because some of your bookmarks will be your own personal content....you've got traffic!<br /><br />Make sure you do not set your bookmarks to private at any of your bookmarking sites you use, unless they are truly private. Some sites are public by default and others will require that you check off a box in order to set the bookmark to "public".<br /><strong></strong></p>
<p><strong>What does Social Bookmarking have to do with Search Engine Optimization?</strong></p>
<p>Your bookmarks are essentially "votes" for the bookmarked content.&nbsp; The bookmarked links point to the content and let the search engines know that the content exists, and is noted by others...like a vote for its popularity.<br /><br />The more bookmarks that your content receives, the more popular it is deemed by the search engines.&nbsp; That doesn't mean that you can just go around and bookmark your own content everywhere you go.&nbsp; You'll have to use good bookmarking practices in order to not be perceived by the search engines as a spammer. &nbsp;<br /><br />Bookmarking content in an unnatural way can actually hurt your search engine rankings.&nbsp; You'll want to learn how to bookmark content in a natural manner and not in any pattern.&nbsp; For more information on how to use good bookmarking practices, take advantage of a short <a href="http://www.thesocialnetworkmarketer.com/internet-marketing-coaching/" target="_blank">bookmarking coaching session</a> on how to bookmark correctly for your Internet Marketing goals.</p>

<p>Try to choose <strong>Do Follow bookmarking sites</strong> in most cases.&nbsp; Even though Delicious is not considered Do Follow, it is hugely popular and that counts for something.&nbsp; In order to discover what sites use Do Follow links, consider downloading an SEO addon for FireFox called <a rel="nofollow" href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/321" target="_blank">SearchStatus</a> that lets you see which links are No Follow (then you know which links are Do Follow).</p>
<h3><strong>How to use Social Bookmarking sites?</strong></h3>

<p><strong>Now the changes are permenant</strong>, despite the FaceBook groups forming against it ,or whatever we might want.&nbsp; There's been some housekeeping.&nbsp; Yes, I admit the look is cleaner and more professional. It was quite sloppy before, especially if you were prone to use a lot of applications.&nbsp; It was like a decorating party gone wild.&nbsp; You could tell a lot about a person by how they put together their profile page.</p>
<p>Now, we are all being forced to have a nice, organized profile page.&nbsp; I do agree the changes are good; just hard to get used to at first.&nbsp; Change is always hard for some of us.!</p>
<p><strong>Just to go over the main restructure:</strong>&nbsp; the white margins have been removed from the sides to create a web page look.&nbsp; This change creates a more open appearance instead of everything being crammed down the middle of the page.&nbsp; For some, it was a never-ending page.</p>
<p><strong>There are now tabs created at the top</strong> that contain different aspects of the profile: the Wall, Info, Photos, Boxes (applications).&nbsp; You'll have to click on the tabs to view certain information.&nbsp; Before, it was all there if you scrolled down far enough; again, more organized.</p>
<p><strong>You can now post a short bio </strong>about yourself under your photo on the left.&nbsp; You can also message your friend much easier now that the "send a message" button is right underneath the photo on the left.</p>
<p><strong>The Wall is front and center as you begin to view the profile</strong>.&nbsp; It contains a mixture of the original Wall entries mixed with the mini-feed.&nbsp; It's an interesting mixture.&nbsp; Your home page is more user-friendly and organized into sections.&nbsp; Before, I wasn't sure where to find certain functions.</p>
<p>I guess the main change I object to the most is that you'll have to open the Info tab to see business information about your friend and&nbsp; check out their links and personal information.&nbsp; Since I use FaceBook for networking, and for my Internet Network Marketing business, I would have preferred that information to be more accessible.&nbsp; Now, you'll have to enter under the Info tab.&nbsp; It's just another step to take.</p>
<p><strong>Change is hard, but is usually for the good</strong>.&nbsp; Even though I've already posted a few&nbsp; comments about my concern over the changes, I am already embracing the new look.&nbsp; For me, most things take time to sink in.&nbsp; Be sure to leave me your views as well.&nbsp; We all have a different and unique view.&nbsp; Just remember, "new FaceBook is now the only FaceBook". My opinion is that most people will identify with someone like themselves; genuine and down-to-earth, not glossy, slick, perfect sales people.</p>
<p>If you view successful videos on You Tube, you will see that the videos that generate the most views, and possibly prospects, are produced by rather ordinary folks like you and me. We tend to trust people we can identify with. Their videos are not staged; the lighting or sound may not be great; the background may not be perfect; but the people are real and genuine.</p>
<p>We use Internet video in Internet Network Marketing because Internet video produces results. It helps us get the word out in a very natural manner: word of mouth. You can <em>see and hear</em> instead of just viewing the written word. What you see is what you get. Internet video can be very effective.</p>
<p>In branding yourself on the Internet, consider using Internet video to let your prospects <strong><em>see</em></strong> and hear what you offer. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qyvos3iwDNc" target="_blank">Renegade University</a>, and my fellow Renegades, often use Internet video to let prospects know what we offer.</p>

<p>It's not that I don't believe in my Network Marketing business or my product, it's just that it wasn't worth my dignity, time and energy to continue to set the trap, so to speak, in order to capture new Network Marketing business prospects.&nbsp; It's also not&nbsp;because I wasn't good at&nbsp;cold-calling...I was told that my 10% average was pretty darn good!&nbsp; It was the other 90% failure rate that pulled me down.</p>
<p>Pretty soon, the idea of going to another social function, or mall, or business just for the sake of snaring prospects just gave me a negative feeling.&nbsp; I dreaded any attempts to build my Network Marketing business.&nbsp; It does not help that while attempting to share your Network Marketing business with others, people can get the wrong impression of you;...attracting others with your "Law of Attraction"&nbsp;personality is not always what people assume you are up to! &nbsp; I thought, "there's got to be an easier way to attract Network Marketing prospects without running the risk of sending the wrong message, or feeling rejected, or having to stand up in a crowd and give a sales pitch.&nbsp; I decided that If I had to continue to do this in order to be successful, I was not going to make it".</p>
